2010 Family Day Weekend Fundraiser
Results:
With the help of the community together we raised over $700 for Haiti relief and more than 200 cans of food for the local food banks.

Thanks to members of the corporate community who helped spread the word for the fundraiser and a special thanks to the local minor hockey teams and OBHL teams who participated in the weekend event.

This time Next Year we will have a fundraiser tournament and it will be bigger and better!!!!

The 2010 Family Day Event:
Play Ball Hockey at Fifty Point on Family Day Weekend to help the relief efforts in Haiti and to help stock our local food banks.

Anyone can rent the OBHL rink and play ball hockey for $2 or 2 cans of food/player/hour.

The OBHL rink is available at a first come first serve basis from 7am to 11pm on Saturday Feb 13th Sunday Feb 14th and Monday Feb 15th (Family Day).

To rent the rink you need to call, text or email us with your desired day, time, and length of rental.  Each rental will receive a confirmation number, which will be used by all of your members at the front gate office.

OBHL will contribute 100% of your cash donations to Haiti relief.  100% of all food donations will go to our local food banks.

This is a FUN way for hockey teams to have a team building exercise, practice or scrimmage.  What a great way to celebrate who we are as Canadians on Canada’s newest holiday weekend.  We hope to demonstrate that individuals and families can come together to make a difference for those in need.  We are looking for leaders in the community to organize groups or teams to make this event a success.  Take this opportunity to teach our youth about community involvement and the importance of doing something good for those in need.



If you are a group or team who is looking for an opponent for an organized scrimmage please contact us for scheduling and options.

Organized team scrimmages will also have an opportunity to request a certified OBHL referee and time-keeper to enhance their game experience. Our referees will kindly volunteer their time towards the fundraiser and will be available on a first come first serve basis.
